Answers to some Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can you please explain the dress code for meetings?
A. The minimum dress code for all daytime meals, daytime meetings and evening events is Smart Casual. This site explains what Smart Casual is very clearly. Business casual is preferred, however Smart Casual is the MINIMUM!!!
Please NO - faded or torn jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, flip flops.
Travel to All Hands IN DRESS CODE. You may not be able to check into your room prior to lunch or meetings.
Q. Is there a guide for the name badge ribbon colors so I can identify Novacoast employee's team area easily?
A. Yes, check out the color chart HERE.
Q. Is internet access included in the rooms this year?
A. Yes, internet access is included in the guest rooms and meeting space.
Q. I don't see that this hotel offers complimentary breakfast in the morning. What's the plan for breakfast each day?
A. Breakfast for employees will be catered in the meeting space and banquet areas. See schedule for details.
Q. How is travel arranged to All Hands?
A. After you RSVP our travel department will contact you regarding specific travel arrangements. Air is included for all non-SoCal employees. Be sure to read the specifics regarding travel to All Hands on the Policies Page.
Q. Can I extend my stay?
A. The Hilton Universal City is adjacent to Universal Studios Hollywood. Your stay can be extended at your expense, for up to 3 days after our event ends for $185/nt + tax. These rooms are subject to availability so RSVP quickly if you'd like to get one of the rooms that are blocked. Space is not guaranteed.
Q. What kind of weather can I expect in January?
A. Average temperatures in January are in the mid 60s during the day and can go as low as mid 40s in the evening. Be sure to have a light jacket for evening time. You can check more accurate weather conditions the week prior to All Hands. Even with our California drought we have managed to have rain during 2 of the last 5 years of All Hands.
Q. What do the shirts look like this year? What if I want more than one shirt?
A. You can check out the clothing + sizing options on the clothing page. Novacoast will provide one item to each employee. You have the option to order through the Web-Store.
Q. Will the bar take credit cards on Friday night?
A. Yes!
